A History of Service and Growth

Kentucky Trust Company was founded in 1995 and is chartered to operate in the state of Kentucky as an independent trust company. Our company grew out of a desire to maintain the tradition of personalized, customer-focused service that had been offered by a community bank trust department. When the bank was purchased by a major institution, a group of trust managers and their clients decided to create an independent trust company and formed a board of directors to manage the company. Since then, we have continued to thrive under the management of these experienced trust professionals, directors and long-time customers/investors.

From these origins, KTC continues its focus on customer satisfaction. Working in partnership with community banks across the state, as well as directly with individual and business customers, we are known for providing excellence in service with the highest level of professional integrity. Our independence, with no conflicts of interest, allows us to offer solid recommendations based on objective analysis and experience. Our highly experienced management team is comprised of a qualified staff of certified investment, trust, and retirement plan specialists.

As a regulated financial institution, KTC undergoes regular examination by the Kentucky Department of Financial Institutions. Our company also maintains a rigorous audit program, which includes periodic, detailed, examinations of our internal processes and security procedures. We also engage an independent CPA firm to perform a full financial audit annually.
